Riverdale Estate, located in the scenic Shevaroy Hills of Tamil Nadu, India, is home to one of the world’s most celebrated coffee varieties — Gesha.
Grown at an altitude of 1,450 meters, this coffee benefits from cool mountain air, fertile loamy soil, and consistent mist cover, all of which contribute to producing a truly high-quality cup.

What sets this coffee apart is the carbonic maceration process, a careful fermentation method inspired by techniques used in fine wine. Freshly harvested cherries are placed in sealed, oxygen-free tanks, where natural carbon dioxide builds up and allows the coffee to develop vibrant, fruit-forward, and complex flavours. Before fermentation, the cherries are handpicked at peak ripeness, then meticulously sorted and washed using pure spring water sourced directly from the estate.

After fermentation, they are slow-dried on raised beds for 30 days, allowing the coffee to develop a deeper sweetness, improved balance, and long-lasting clarity. In the cup, this Gesha offers an elegant and refined profile.

Riverdale Estate’s dedication to precision, sustainability, and excellence shines through in every batch — making this Indian Gesha a standout in the world of specialty coffee.
